CONFIRMED: AMAZON ACQUIRES ISRAELI START-UP CLOUDENDURE

Israeli cloud computing start-up CloudEndure has been acquired by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company confirmed on Thursday. The deal is estimated to be worth $200-$250 million.

“CloudEndure is now an Amazon Web Services company,” the start-up announced on its website.

“As an AWS Advanced Technology Partner since 2016, CloudEndure has long joined forces with AWS to help customers future-proof their businesses. This acquisition expands our ability to deliver innovative and flexible migration, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.”

The acquistion was rumored to be imminent for several days, although the exact value of the deal has not yet been revealed.

CloudEndure offers a suite of business IT resilience solutions, preventing data loss and downtime due to a range of disruptions including human errors, network failures and external threats.

The company’s “IT Resilience Suite for the Hybrid Cloud” offers recovery, backup and migration of any application across all infrastructure, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and VMware.

CloudEndure was established in 2012 by serial entrepreneurs Ofer Gadish, Ofir Ehrlich, Gil Shai and Leonid Feinberg. Since its founding, it has raised in excess of $18 million from venture capital firms and strategic investors, including Dell Technologies Capital, VMware, Mitsui, Infosys and Magma Venture Partners.
