Lottie Moss is ready to shine on her own – away from the comparisons to her big sister, Kate Moss. The model-turn-designer spoke to Metro.co.uk about her ambition and drive and admitted she’s ready to be ‘the woman who does it all’ without being referred to as ‘Kate’s sister’. Recently launched her own clothing line, Lottie Moss Collection, the 20-year-old is fast affirming her presence and business prowess, but is aware of how it’s tied to her last name. ‘Loads of people say I don’t deserve it, that it’s all because of Kate,’ she told us. ‘Although her name has helped me massively I do feel like I want to be my own person and make something out of it.
‘It’s quite nice not being compared to anyone else, I feel like I want to be the woman who does it all. I want my life to be as amazing as I can make it. I need to squeeze and get every last drop.’ Lottie was aware of the affect her name had on her image, adding: ‘Why not? I’ve been given this opportunity and I’d be stupid to not take advantage of it.’ Having made the switch from modelling to designing – with her range distributed by PacSun – she’s now entered a realm away from modelling where Kate can’t offer up too much advice as she may have previously. But it seems that works fine for Lottie.
