The visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo on Saturday, following the murder of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic, is widely seen by experts in Kosovo as a move by Belgrade to score some political benefits.
The well-known Kosovo Serb politician was shot dead in front of his party’s offices in the northern Kosovo town of Mitrovica on January 16.
“The highest official and the most powerful man in Serbia”, meaning Vucic, was “pretending to be interested in the fate of Kosovo Serbs,” Pristina-based political analyst Behlul Beqaj told BIRN.
